My Apps: Overview | Azure Active Directory

[MUSIC] Kiki Simpson: Hi, everyone. My name is Kiki Simpson and I’m a Program Manager on the Identity Access Management team. In this video, I’m going to explain what My Apps is and what benefits it can bring to your company. So without further ado, let’s jump into it. My Apps is an app launching portal, where employees or students go to find all the applications they need for work or school. Instead of having to keep track of a different URL and username password set for every app you use, you can just go to myapps.microsoft.com and launch your apps from there. By using My Apps, you and your users get a single place to find all of your applications. Instead of using bookmarks or having to phone a friend, you and your users can just remember My Apps has all the apps you need. My Apps also has single sign-on, meaning you no longer have to remember which username and password go to which apps. My Apps deals with all the signing in for you. As you can see in this example, My Apps is also customized based on the user through what we call collections. Admins can target these collections to a user based on the role, task, or any other breakdown that makes sense for your company. We’ve also improved the self-service capabilities available.
